Duct tape n' stuffs!

Everyone knows theres nothing like a duct tape dummy for a friend. At least when

it comes down to making armor for oneself. My new friend is well on its way to completion.

This is me while working on my duct tape dummy!! :P

This is my recent cosplay of Koan/Catsy, she is a character from the

show Sailor Moon.

Another cosplay, this character is Kurenai, from Naruto.

Having a little to much fun, lol.

Hey everyone~!

its been a while since I last updated!! Not much as for art, I should definitely get on that

but in the meantime. here are some pictures! You guessed it, recent cosplays haha

This first one is from a show called "Naruto Shippuden"

I am a character named Neji- he has crazy eyes!

This is a group shot of everyone who was out that day for the Naruto shoot,

it turned out well and I was very pleased! It turned out to be a fantastic day for the

event :)

This is my cosplay or a character simply named "L" from a show called

death note, greats series highly recommended!

This next photoshoot is just a few friends who decided to have a vampire shoot

on Halloween! It turned out great and we had a blast!

I am the one with the black hair - named JET and the one with the red/orange hair is my friend as

her character Joseph. Its hard to see here, but we had fangs and red eyes!

Here is a closer look at our red eyes and teeth, the other vamp next to me is my friend as her

character named Caterina.

And last but not least, in celebration of my cats FINALLY getting along with each other(just adopted the male about a month ago) here are a few pics of them! yay!

Here is another pic of my Trunks cosply, since I love it so much :P

This is just a random cosplay I put together to test out these contacts. In the show "Naruto" the headband depicts the symbol of the village your from, and in the Konoha village(this symbol) there are ninjas with this special eye, called the byakugan.

My friend is also a character from this game, and the character is named Maqui.

Here is a wig I'm making for my "catzy/Koan" cosplay! she was a villain in the Sailor moon series before she later turned to the good side.

Happy halloween everyone!

It's been a pretty busy halloween for me, did many things, seen many things ( including mel falling into a lion trap!!).
but all in all it has been a pretty fun halloween, a bit lonely without my usual animation crew back in the "Chi" or my family, but Mel was here, and we had a blast anyways!
Also, We both made our costumes right from scratch :)

sorry I havent been keeping anyone updated as of late. It has been a very busy few weeks.
recently I havent had much time to do anything on the side of work.. Today was a little less hectic then usual so I took a bit of time to sketch in flash. I know its not much.. but hopefully Ill have something a little more interesting later on.

So as this title says it all.. I have branded this race horses name Tom Petty... why you ask? because first of all.. his teeth.. and if you have ever seen Tom Petty's videos... youd understand! Secondly, I reallllly enjoy his music. he's an awesomely wicked musician.. and third.. most importantly.. I put a "P" on his butt.. then asked Mel what I should name him.. and she exclaimed..TOM PETTY,, cuz it looks like him!!!

So the other day me and Mel decided to go for a walk at the Public Gardens on Spring Garden road to draw the ducks and the swans. It was very fun, mostly because the ducks are so tame they walk right up to you.. sit down and lay beside you.... some even pose! I'm 100% serious too. haha!

Shanel: Me and Melanie both got bored around supper time right after her parents left.. so we decided to take a nice stroll down Spring Garden road.. and this is where we ended up.. at the Halifax gardens! Eating flowers and terrorizing ducks.... oh and taking pictures with Mel’s lovely new camera. :)

Mel: This is Mel R. speaking... Don't believe a word Shanel says. She's good at turning bloody, gory duck pictures into nice, happy duck frolicking... Yay photoshop!

Shanel: Its true.. we actually did in fact.. terrorize them.. chase them down .. plucked them feathers and skewered them.. right there in the park.. yumm BBQ duck!

PS: This isn’t factual at all.. no ducks were harmed in the making of this post...

First day on the job...

Hiyas!

First day on the job was great, many kind people who were there to help me out.

You know, first days are always pretty confusing, seems like no matter where you start a job or whoever you are, the first day is filled with horror, excitement and crazy thoughts like "I sure hope I don’t get fire the first day". I suppose all these weird thoughts and notions of what might come, are all very natural, well they are for me anyways haha! As I expected the studio is very laid back and all friendly people! Which of course I was very pleased but not at all mystified by this.. cuz to be honest.. all animators are great people.. well all the ones I met were grand( I did in fact say grand or if you prefer, you may also replace grand with splendid).
But thats it for today I'm off to sleep.. but before I leave something I conjured up tonight.

Listening to Tom Petty, ya that’s right TOM PETTY!!

Been sketching parts of the day and came up with a few things, mostly cuz I was bored..
still haven’t made many friends here yet, but i'm sure that will come in due time.. Actually.. there’s a guy here named Jerry.. not sure if its a G or J .. but well just call him Jerry cuz that’s what comes to mind first. Good guy, he works with my mom.. he’s been real good to me.. helping me out with organizing my room with all kinds of cool junk, like my new computer desk :) ahaha not to forget giving me his computer mouse to borrow.. since my step dad Robert zapped mine.. not purposely of course.

And now for the best part of my day.. I GOT A JOB! wooot! where you say?

I am hired on but for now ill be under probation, well at least that’s kind of what I gathered.. although he didn’t actually use the word "probation" I’m ok with that though, cuz frankly I think its a silly word. So my task now is to keep up.. and work VERY hard.. cuz well I do want to improve and be a great asset to their team of skilled animators! I'll be working on things like storyboarding and keying animations, and a bit of clean up as it seems (I like clean up "seriously I do")

Well here’s a picture of me settled into my happy new room in Halifax, also a sketch of me Saturday.. full of ambition and ready to take on what Halifax has to offer!

Well,
yesterday I graduated and today I moved all my stuff to Halifax!

Halifax is sure intense tho, I hope I dont turn into a city slicker.. I sure will miss my small little towns >.<;..So far so good.. its been so busy these last few weeks..but hopefully things settle in quickly.
no pictures or drawings to post today since im still unpacking and getting stuff together. (My computer is not hooked to the internet) . but my room looks wicked!! ill post pictures later perhaps.

Every day is the same,

well in the sense that everyone who looks at my sketchbook and portfolio comments on how I LOVVVVEEE(a.k.a (heart<3) dragons.. *sigh* To be honest, its getting to be a bit to much.. so today, and for the next few days ill be posting all the drawings I can find of dragons that I have done, after I finish posting them all.
